We’ve been working with Mayor Ridwan Kamil’s vigorous efforts to redefine the city of Bandung, Indonesia, as a humane and creative city.
Program Design dan Kualitas Pembangunan or Design & Development Quality Program is government division in Bandung that organize and supervise citywide plans for design and development. Its goal is to create an integrated and thoughtful infrastructure for the city by encouraging good design. Kudos also serves as as the environmental graphic design advisor on the board.
We designed a logomark made out of the letter P that is carved out of geometric shapes, forming a city-like infrastructure. Following this aesthetic, a rigid grid-based layout is applied to the stationery system and editorial design.
For Dinas Bina Marga & Pengairan or Department of Roads Planning and Water Resources, we designed a range of products from logo to company profiles, book covers, posters, and street banners. Despite the official nature of DBMP’s communications, we were able to use simple graphics, bold colors, and clear typography to set them apart against the busy and cluttered streets of Bandung.
